New Release : 6Gb/s SAS BL Switch for HP BladeSystem.

HP have finally launched their 6Gb/s SAS switch for the HP Bladesystem.
This means that now you can attach 6Gb/s SAS attached products to the Hp Bladesystem chassis such as the P2000sa SAN unit.

You can purchase the unit either on its own or in a dual pack.

• Single unit part number - BK763A
• Dual pack part number - BK764A

To attach the blade servers to a P2000sa SAN you will need to make sure a P711m or P712m (with cache module) Smart Array controller is installed in each blade server. The P711m & P712m acts as a pass-through to the P2000 with RAID functionality for shared SAS storage provided by the P2000 G3 array.

Westcoast Solutions Blog 1 Year old today !

Well its been a pretty busy and eventful year for the Solutions team here at Westcoast. There have been many new products and technologies introduced from HP which we feel now fill in the "gaps" that the solutions product portfolio had.

For example a few of the big releases this year was the release of the HP 3PAR product range, the new HP server G7 Range and the huge new range of products added to HP's networking brand through the 3Com and HP merger.

I hope that the information posted on the Blog has proven useful for all 2,994 people who have visited this site and for the 1,272 that vist on a regular basis.
