There are some improvements on the spec of both servers to their predecessors.
ML110 G6 vs. G7 Differences include..
- Processors used are now Xeon i3 (Dual core) and Xeon E3 (Quad core)
- PCI express slots are now all PCI-Express Gen 2
- New Redundant PSU options via an enablement kit.
- New Hot plug drive option (LFF and SFF)
- USB ports have been boosted from 8 to 9 (4 front, 4 rear and 1 internal)
- iLO has been upgraded from 100i to the new iLO3 (Dedicated LAN port is optional)
DL120 G6 vs. G7 Differences include..
- Processors used are now Xeon i3 (Dual core) and Xeon E3 (Quad core)
- New Redundant PSU options - more details to follow
- All models are either Cold plug or Hot Plug Hard drive Bays (Cold plug uses hot plug drives but without hot plug capability)
- iLO has been upgraded from 100i to the new iLO3 (Dedicated LAN port is optional)
